4.Nmap
Nmap
(Network Mapper) is a security scanner originally written by Gordon
Lyon (also known by his pseudonym Fyodor Vaskovich) [1] used to discover
hosts and services on a computer network, thus creating a “map” of the
network. To accomplish its goal nmap sends specially crafted packets to
the target host and then analyzes the responses. Unlike many simple
port scanners that just send packets at some predefined constant rate,
nmap accounts for the network conditions (latency fluctuations, network
congestion, the target interference with the scan) during the run.

XAMPP is an easy to install Apache distribution containing MySQL, PHP
and Perl. XAMPP is really very easy to install and to use – just
download, extract and start.
8. Cain and Abel
Cain
& Abel is a password recovery tool for Microsoft Operating Systems.
It allows easy recovery of various kind of passwords by sniffing the
network, cracking encrypted passwords using Dictionary, Brute-Force and
Cryptanalysis attacks, recording VoIP conversations, decoding scrambled
passwords, recovering wireless network keys, revealing password boxes,
uncovering cached passwords and analyzing routing protocols. The program
does not exploit any software vulnerabilities or bugs that could not be
fixed with little effort. It covers some security aspects/weakness
present in protocol’s standards, authentication methods and caching
mechanisms; its main purpose is the simplified recovery of passwords and
credentials from various sources, however it also ships some “non
standard” utilities for Microsoft Windows users.
9. Python
Python
is a general-purpose high-level programming language[2] whose design
philosophy emphasizes code readability.[3] Python aims to combine
“remarkable power with very clear syntax”,[4] and its standard library
is large and comprehensive. Its use of indentation for block delimiters
is unusual among popular programming languages. Python supports multiple
programming paradigms, primarily but not limited to object oriented,
imperative and, to a lesser extent, functional programming styles. It
features a fully dynamic type system and automatic memory management,
similar to that of Scheme, Ruby, Perl, and Tcl. Like other dynamic
languages, Python is often used as a scripting language, but is also
used in a wide range of non-scripting contexts.
10. Winbox
Mikrotīkls
Ltd., known internationally as MikroTik, is a Latvian manufacturer of
computer networking equipment. It sells wireless products and routers.
The company was founded in 1995, with the intent to sell in the emerging
wireless technology market. As of 2007, the company had more than 70
employees.
11. Notepad++
Notepad++ is a free (as in “free speech” and also as
in “free beer”) source code editor and Notepad replacement that
supports several languages. Running in the MS Windows environment, its
use is governed by GPL License.Based on the powerful editing component Scintilla, Notepad++ is written in C++ and uses pure Win32 API and STL which ensures a higher execution speed and smaller program size. By optimizing as many routines as possible without losing user friendliness, Notepad++ is trying to reduce the world carbon dioxide emissions. When using less CPU power, the PC can throttle down and reduce power consumption, resulting in a greener environment. This project is mature. However, there may be still some bugs and missing features that are being worked on. If you have any questions or suggestions about this project, please post them in the forums. Also, if you wish to make a feature request, you can post it there as well. But there’s no guarantee that I’ll implement your request.

13. PUTTY
Putty is a generic term for a plastic material similar in texture to clay or dough typically used in domestic construction and repair as a sealant or filler. Painter’s Putty is typically a linseed oil based product used for filling holes, minor cracks and defacements in wood only. Putties can also be made intumescent, in which case they are used for firestopping as well as for padding of electrical outlet boxes in fire-resistance rated drywall assemblies. In the latter case, hydrates in the putty produce an endothermic reaction to mitigate heat transfer to the unexposed side.
14. Nessus
Tenable Network Security provides a suite of solutions that unify real-time vulnerability, event and compliance monitoring into a single, role-based, interface for administrators, auditors and risk managers to evaluate, communicate and report needed information for effective decision making and systems management.
15.Firesheep

The extension uses a packet sniffer to intercept unencrypted cookies from certain websites (such as Facebook and Twitter) as the cookies are transmitted over networks, exploiting session hijacking vulnerabilities. It shows the discovered identities on a sidebar displayed in the browser, and allows the user to instantly take on the log-in credentials of the user by double-clicking on the victim’s name.
16. WinPcap
In the field of computer network administration, pcap (packet capture) consists of an application programming interface (API) for capturing network traffic. Unix-like systems implement pcap in the libpcap library; Windows uses a port of libpcap known as WinPcap.
Monitoring software may use libpcap and/or WinPcap to capture packets travelling over a network and, in newer versions, to transmit packets on a network at the link layer, as well as to get a list of network interfaces for possible use with libpcap or WinPcap.
The implementors of the pcap API wrote it in C, so other languages such as Java, .NET languages, and scripting languages generally use a wrapper; no such wrappers are provided by libpcap or WinPcap itself. C++ programs may link directly to the C API; only one partial object-oriented C++ wrapper is currently available from an external source.
17. Netbeans
NetBeans refers to both a platform framework for Java desktop applications, and an integrated development environment (IDE) for developing with Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python, Ruby, Groovy, C, C++, Scala, Clojure, and others.
